Duff-Baby House Tour

Are you interested in taking a look inside a house that once housed enslaved people, and later was a place of refuge for a freedom seeker, a house that welcomed Shawnee Chief Tecumseh, and suffered through an American occupation during the War of 1812? Built in 1798, the Duff-Baby House is one of the most significant late 18th-century landmarks in Upper Canada, a structure that retains its original orientation to the river and reflects some of the principal themes and events shaping the province’s early history. The City of Windsor (Museum Windsor) is currently leasing the 1st floor of this historic building from the Ontario Heritage Trust. With the assistance of Les Amis Duff-Baby, we offer periodic tours of this magnificent mansion. Next free admission tour July 9, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (house only open to public during tour days).
