Mark Baker
Board MemberMark Baker has recently joined the ACWR board. Born in England, Mark grew up in various places, spending a few years in each of England, Scotland and Singapore. He immigrated to Canada in 1993 and is so grateful to share in this great country.
He played trumpet in the SteelTown Symphony Orchestra in Hamilton for one season, which has since folded. Having enjoyed art since childhood, he rarely indulged until he moved to Windsor in 2021 when he started painting. This has become a joy, and he has been continuing to develop in his art, primarily in acrylic painting so far, but plans on oil as well in future.
He graduated in Computer Science from Coventry University. Professionally most of his career has been in the IT industry. Thirty + years of experience as a Software Developer and then Business and Systems Analyst. Certifications include Scrum Master Certified • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified • Certified Foundation Level Business Analyst (CFLBA) • Certified Technology Specialist Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012) • AMANDA Business Analyst (ABA) Certification.
He now co-runs a digital designs company with his wife, based in Windsor.
In the past, he served on various committees at the St. Stephen United Church in Burlington and looks forward to contributing to the Art Council.
