We Learn Together: A Teach Tanzania Immersive Exhibit | Teach Tanzania
January 19 - January 23
Teach Tanzania is a student-led initiative founded by Dr. Clinton Beckford associated with the University of Windsor. Internationally, Teach Tanzania has initiated projects in Tanzania. In Tanzania, efforts include supplying over 3,000 textbooks to schools since 2017, implementing a Girls’ Leadership and Empowerment Program for women and girls, and supporting school food programs by establishing gardens and farms. While the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Education has made significant progress in its partnership with communities in Tanzania, there remains important work to be done. With continued support, we aim to expand the reach and impact of these initiatives.
This immersive gallery invites guests to explore the University of Windsor’s student-led initiative Teach Tanzania, highlighting the power of education and cross-cultural collaboration. Visitors will move through a series of interactive stations featuring audio-visual stories, classroom moments, and reflections from past Teach Tanzania participants. Each engagement point is designed to show how community-driven learning, partnership, and global citizenship shape meaningful educational change. Throughout the gallery, guests will have opportunities to support the upcoming Teach Tanzania engagement trip, helping strengthen ongoing initiatives in Tanzanian classrooms and communities. Together, we celebrate the impact of Teach Tanzania and the connections that unite our global community.
