Under Disguise

Windsor, ON – Under Disguise, a collaborative art exhibition and fashion show by Designs by Sav (Sav Riley), Meaghan Sweeney and Kristina Bradt, is set to take over Ford City’s newest venue, Circuit, from Monday, June 30 to Saturday, July 19. The exhibition will feature a closing reception & fashion show on Saturday, July 5, with doors opening at 7pm and the show starting at 8pm.

Under Disguise continues an initiative that blends local art and community events. Nine emerging artists were tasked to use repurposed materials to create original works that celebrate sustainability and show the beauty of everyday items. Designs by Sav will create one-of-a-kind garments from the artwork which will debut on an indoor-outdoor runway during the closing reception fashion show.

“I’m excited about Under Disguise because it brings together art, fashion, and sustainability,” said Sav Riley, designer behind Designs by Sav.

“The fashion show on July 5 is going to be such a cool experience — an indoor-outdoor runway, live music by Mike Hargreaves, and art
that challenges how we see everyday materials. Plus, it’s all happening at Circuit, one of Ford City’s freshest venues.”

This event will mark one of the largest projects to date for Designs by Sav and Meaghan Sweeney, following the success of past shows which drew approximately 100 attendees. Organizers anticipate even greater turnout for Under Disguise. These efforts not only provide emerging artists a platform to showcase their work, but also support local businesses by drawing people to the Ford City neighborhood.
