Lisa Sylvestre (Plant Stamped Embroidery)
Workshop: Lisa will teach you how to create a traditional stamped kerchief using natural floral materials then embellish it with hand stitched embroidery.

Lisa Sylvestre is a Windsor, Ontario based textile artist. Quilt making is her primary medium and her practice focuses on the use of reclaimed fabrics, plant-based dyes, and hand stitching. Her work is informed by the distinct contrast in rich natural beauty to stark industrial landscape that is characteristic of the Windsor Detroit region. Under asil, Lisa runs a textile and a plant-based dye studio which offer a wide range of classes and workshops, and a small shop which celebrates the work of local artists.
