Seniors Drum Circle Program African Village Africain Community Centre Registration is now open for the Seniors Drum Circle, a culturally enriching and wellness-focused program designed for seniors in our community. This initiative, funded by the New Horizons for Seniors Program (Government of Canada), provides a safe and engaging space where participants can connect through rhythm, music, and shared cultural expression.

The drum circle offers therapeutic benefits, including stress reduction, improved mental well-being, social connection, and enhanced emotional expression. Through guided sessions, seniors will experience the healing power of African drumming while building community and celebrating heritage.

About the Drum Circle:
Our drum circle is led by a professional drum player and uses the power of sound as a tool for mental health therapy. It is a welcoming, inclusive experience for all—no prior drumming experience is necessary! Participants are welcome to bring their own drums if they prefer, or drums will be provided for those who need them. Light refreshments are served at the end of each session.
