Media City Film Festival Announces Major Provincial & Federal Support to Celebrate the Art of Cinema in Windsor–Essex and around the World

The public is welcome to gather with members of the Windsor-Detroit arts community to celebrate Media City Film Festival. This event is free! Members of the arts community, Local MPP Lisa Gretzky and local MP Brian Masse will be at The Capitol Theatre to celebrate Media City Film Festival’s receipt of Ontario government funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) and the Ontario Arts Council (OAC), along with additional federal funding from the Canada Council for the Arts (CCA). MPP Gretzky, MP Masse, and Barbara Gilbert, OAC Media Arts Officer, will attend the event to acknowledge the government grants and their impact on the community. Greg Baise, Media City Film Festival Board Member, will discuss the importance of the grants for the organization and the work being done.
Snacks and refreshments will be served. DJ Zonk Deck will be spinning records.
Join us! Everyone is welcome. A brief announcement about the festival’s upcoming virtual edition(December 9–30, 2024), will also be made.
