LIVE DJ SETS

Join us for a night of live DJ sets on Thursday, July 25th, at Artspeak Gallery, located at 1942 Wyandotte St E. We are going to celebrate the interconnected nature of sampling and copyrights for the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Copyright Act. We’ll chill with the sounds of Mothers Against Drum Machines, Zillie Holliday, and SEETHE. Doors open at 7 PM!

This event is the first in a series that raises awareness about copyrights, and how they impact artists’ ability to monetize their work. Our second event will be an online workshop on August 2nd, 1 pm – 2:30 pm, where we’ll chat with guest artists Datsunn and Julie Sando about inspiration, transformation, and the limits of copying in arts and music. We’ll post an RSVP soon, so keep an eye out for our updates on @friendsofcjam!
