Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, my creative journey truly began in 1983 when a two-month trip to Israel unexpectedly turned into seven and a half years of life-changing experience. It was there that I met Miriam, a gifted artist who saw something in me I hadn’t yet recognized. She told me, quite matter-of-factly, that watercolor would be my medium.

“Because it’s easy?” I asked.
“No, my dear,” she replied gently, “it’s just what I believe suits you.”

At the time, I hadn’t painted much at all. Though I’m self-taught, I once tried attending a workshop to improve my skills—but left each evening in tears. It was during that season I heard a still, small voice say:
“If I’d wanted you to paint like ‘so-and-so,’ I would have made you him.”

That moment changed everything. Since then, I’ve committed to staying in my own lane—painting from the heart, embracing the quirks, and trusting the process.

Watercolor has become one of my main artistic languages. It’s fluid, unpredictable, and deeply expressive—much like the journey that brought me here. Thank you for joining me in this unfolding story.
