CALL FOR FILMMAKERS: WIFF Launches 2022 Mark Boscariol 48-Hour FlickFest

WIFF hosts an online 48-Hour Filmmaking Challenge open to any skill level, families, solos!
FlickFest 2022 taking place September 23-25, 2022, with over $1300 in prizes. REGISTER NOWLIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! It’s almost time to grab a camera or a phone, your family and friends, and spend 48 hours creating a masterpiece! We encourage sign-ups of all age ranges, talent levels, and from any city in Canada or the US!

What is FlickFest?
The Mark Boscariol 48-Hour FlickFest is a component of WIFF and celebrates the ingenuity and determination of filmmakers (of all levels!) by offering them a creative challenge: Write, film, edit, and deliver a finished film in only 48 hours.Who can participate?Anyone and everyone!

We encourage all to participate no matter the skill level.

What do I need?
Whatever you already have. Get creative with what is readily available to you. You don’t need fancy equipment, cell phones and webcams work just fine!

When is it happening?

The Mark Boscariol 48-Hour FlickFest kicks off on Friday, September 23rd at 7 p.m. Gather your friends and family, cameras and iPhones, and creative spirit and participate in a truly crazy and rewarding 48-hour competition.

Check out some of the submissions from last year!Named in honour of Windsor International Film Festival (WIFF) founder, Mark Boscariol, the 48-Hour FlickFest consists of a slate of short films shot and edited by local filmmakers and film lovers over one weekend. FlickFest is an intense, movie-making challenge. Supplied with a line of dialogue, a character trait and a prop, filmmakers are given 48 hours to submit their film. This is a juried competition with $1350 in prizes and the screening includes award presentations for 8 awards. This challenge is accessible to any individual that wants to test their inner filmmaker.
