August Seven | Sarah Butler

AUGUST SEVEN at ArtSpeak Gallery brings together two new drawings and a printed edition compiling wip, handwritten studio wall labels. The drawings, made with graphite and other mixed media on inexpensive black paper, continue an ongoing practice to acknowledge entropy; invite weather, handling, and time to the work.
By placing the drawings alongside the administrative forms, titles, and PDFs that accompanied their making, the exhibition considers how simple marks on paper shape experience, organize action, and accumulate consequence.
S. Butler (b. 1977) is a Canadian artist currently living and working in New York. Butler is pleased to present a selection of new work at ArtSpeak Gallery in Windsor, Ontario. This exhibition includes a graphite and oil drawing among the featured pieces.
ArtSpeak Gallery will be open to visitors during regular hours on August 6 and 7.
