Step into the spotlight with AfroBeats & Broadway, a two-hour dance + performance workshop designed for teens who love to move, groove, and express themselves — no matter your experience level. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been dancing for years, this workshop is for YOU.
Led by powerhouse choreographer Jolie Katembo — known for her bold stage choreography and community impact — this session brings together the hottest Afrobeat moves blowing up on TikTok, an intro to theatre performance, and a high-energy hip hop combo that’ll leave you feeling unstoppable.
What you’ll experience:
Afro-pop Vibes – Learn trending African dance moves that are taking over TikTok and social media
Theatre Fusion – Explore what it means to be a triple threat: dance, sing, act
Hip Hop Level-Up – Dive into a fast-paced combo that pushes your rhythm, style, and stage presence
