Chronicling life along the banks of the Detroit River from 1925-1990.
Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan have been linked since Cadillac paddled up ‘Le Detroit’ in 1701. With only a 1-mile river between use, we were one community until the settlement on the south bank of the river became Windsor, Canada. Today, we still come together for family, work, play, sporting events, culture, entertainment, cars, food and music. To celebrate this unique relationship, Chris Edwards and Elaine Weeks of Walkerville Publishing have curated over 100 vintage photographs highlighting our deeply rooted connections. These will flow along the walls; images on Windsor will grace one side, while the opposite wall will showcase Detroit – the floor space between actings as a symbolic river.
