WINDSOR, ON) – Korda Artistic Productions is putting the finishing touches on the next offering in the 2025 Season – THE GUY WHO DIDN’T LIKE MUSICALS! Everything in Hatchetfield was fine enough until a meteorite containing an alien infection crashed into the Starlight Theatre. Now, a musical theatre pandemic is sweeping the entire city and it’s up to Paul (an average guy who does NOT like musicals) and his ragtag group of coworkers to stop this musical apocalypse and fight for humanity’s future.
Great for fans of Office Space, Invasion of the Bodysnatchers, Shaun of the Dead, and Little Shop of Horrors, THE GUY WHO DIDN’T LIKE MUSICALS is a wild mix of old-time sci fi and modern meta musicals. Music and lyrics are by Jeff Blim; book is by Nick and Matt Lang.
This is the Windsor premiere of this internet viral cult musical, which began as a Kickstarter campaign by StarKid Productions, and went on to win 9 BroadwayWorld.com awards. THE GUY WHO DIDN’T LIKE MUSICALS is directed by Jeremy Burke, whose past directorial credits with Korda include The Trench and Romeo & Juliet. Music Direction is by Matt Vriesen, who oversaw the band for Korda’s Rocky Horror Show. Rounding out the creative team are Julia Pastorius as choreographer, and Eric Tulp as Lighting Designer. Tulp and Natalie Vriesen produce the show. The cast includes Brett Hallick, Jenna Fisch, Nicole Clark, David Sivak, Tim Maitland, Cavelle Doucet-Lefebvre, Aria Talbot-Benvenuto, Sydney White, and Natalie Vreisen. The LIVE band features Sam Bourque on Keyboard, Aaron Gasparini on Guitar and Synth, Graham Dolsen on Bass and Taylor Unis on Drums.
THE GUY WHO DIDN’T LIKE MUSICALS opens on Friday, June 13 for a 9 show run: June 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 at 8:00 p.m.; and June 15 at 2:00 p.m. All performances take place at The KordaZone Theatre at 2520 Seminole Street in Windsor. Tickets are $30 (General Admission) and $25 (seniors and students). Thursday, June 19 is a Pay-What-You-Can performance. Thursday, June 26 is a Scent-Free performance.
