Please join us for the 2025 Windsor-Essex Joint Black History Month Kickoff, happening Friday, January 31st at 7:00 p.m. at the Caribbean Centre. All are welcome at this FREE event which is co-hosted by the Essex County Black Historical Research Society, Amherstburg Freedom Museum, and Windsor West Indian Association, with the generous support of the University of Windsor Black Scholars Institute, Black Women of Forward Action, Arbor Memorial, Women’s Enterprise Skills Training, Inc., and Christina Simmons and Bruce Tucker. Featuring Black history highlights and performances by Mangwa Premier, Teajai Travis, Erik E-Tomic Johnson, Rodney Jones, Nadine Manroe-Wakerell, Paula McPherson, Empress Adara, Jada Larkin, Shadin Sigouin, and Jordan Grosse, with DJ Lamar Nelson and emcees Jada Larkin and Crystal Bryan.
