In recognition of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Canada and Korea, both governments designated 2024-2025 as the Year of Cultural Exchanges between Canada and Korea. OIS ART OF CANADA hosts the Korean – Canadian Young Artists Exchange Exhibition Ongoing to create a foundation for promoting cultural and artistic exchanges between the two countries.
We are currently seeking talented Canadian artists to participate in Ongoing, the first-ever art exchange exhibition for young emerging artists. The exhibition is funded by Korea Culture Centre Canada in Ottawa, which is a government-affiliated institute of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Canada.
Under the theme of “Ongoing”, the successful applicants will present their exceptional talent and creativity as young artists who are taking a step forward toward becoming professional artists. They will explore the subject matter of identity, society, and personal experiences, with materials including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and digital art.
Ongoing aims to offer an opportunity for emerging artists from both countries to engage with the public, presenting a diverse range of artistic expressions and showcasing emerging voices and visionary perspectives.
