CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

“Beyond the Pink Ribbon: The Art of Survival” is a juried art exhibition featuring artists that happen to be breast cancer survivors or have supported a loved one through this disease. We are looking for art made as a way to cope, heal, and process this experience. We want to explore all the complex emotions and experiences that this diagnosis inspires through the restorative power of art. Beyond the Pink Ribbon will run from October 4 – October 17, 2026 at ArtSpeak Gallery, 1942 Wyandotte St. E., Windsor, Ontario.

ELIGIBILITY & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Open to all emerging or established artists that have been affected by a breast cancer diagnosis across all art disciplines. All artworks must be originals and not copies, derivatives or artworks based in any way on other copyrighted or published artistic works. They must be entirely executed by the applicant. Though there are no size restrictions, there are space limitations that will affect the jurying decision. Properly label ALL artwork on back with Title of Artwork, Name, Media, and Sale Price. All artwork MUST be prepared and ready for display and presentation in a pubic gallery setting. Works not properly prepared and presentable will not be displayed. Material that may smear should be treated with an art fixative prior to submission. Free-standing 3D works MUST be assembled and stable/balanced. This is a local community juried exhibition. We are unable to include all submitted work in this exhibition. Through a generous Windsor Endowment for the Arts grant, we are able to offer an honorarium to participating artists at the closing of the exhibition. All work must be available for the duration of the exhibition. Artists are responsible for the delivery and pick up of their work at designated times. Sales of artwork will be at the discretion of the artist, 100% of sales go to the artist.
