The callout is open for Point Pelee National Park’s 2026 Artists-in-Residence program!
We’re inviting up to 6 artists to participate in a 5-day residency program in the park from June 14-19, 2026 where artists can connect with nature and gain inspiration for their next work(s) of art.
A special program is offered each day where artists can learn more about how park staff are working to conserve globally-rare ecosystems, save species at risk, and collaborating with First Nations to learn about their connections to the land and water.
Applications must be received by 11:59pm on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. A committee will make the selection and the successful applicants will be notified by Monday, April 20, 2026. Only artists selected for the program will be contacted.
Who can apply:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or over, Canadian citizens or reside in Canada. We encourage artists to self-identify on the application form. Applications from visual artists working in the following disciplines are welcome:
• Drawing
• Painting
• Photography
• Sculpture
• Textile
• Mixed media
• Graphic Illustration/Digital Painting

• A short biography (150 words max)
• 5 images of works completed in the last 10 years. Each image must be saved as a JPG or TIFF file at 72 dpi and be no larger than 2 MB, with a maximum 1,240 pixels (length or width). Files must be named with the image number, artist name, and title, each separated by an underscore.
Applications that do not include all items listed above will be deemed incomplete and may not be considered. Please include only the requested material in your application.
Preference will be given to candidates who have never previously participated in a Parks Canada Artists-in-Residence program.
