Join us on October 8th for a contract writing and reviewing workshop with Michael Di Risio. Together, we will go through the basic terms of most contracts, as well as look at some specific examples of exhibition contracts to learn about the impacts of the different terms and the kinds of things that tend to be negotiated or up for discussion.

The Creatives at Work Professional Development Workshop Series is dedicated to empowering local artists with the skills and knowledge to level up their career. Through enriching workshops and skill-sharing activities, the program will foster skill development and professional knowledge.

Michael Di Risio is an associate with Halliwill Seguin LLP practicing in employment and commercial law and was formerly a researcher with the Centre for Labour-Management Development. Prior to working in law he served as the Artistic Director of Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre, wrote for arts and cultural periodicals across Canada, and served as an artist in residence in Reykjavik, Iceland and Castellví de la Marca, Spain.
