Rent this Space: Installation Aisle is an exhibition by Niku Koochak that will be showing at ArtSpeak Gallery as part of Niku’s Creatives at Work Artist Residency. This installation came out of weeks spent observing, mapping, and navigating a space that’s both chaotic and generous, The City Market in Windsor. Built with PVC pipes, grids, textures, and cultural fragments, the work responds to the layered energy of the market itself.

Niku Koochak is the first of six local artists who will take part in the Creatives at Work Artist Residency Program. Each artist will be paired with a local Windsor-Essex business chosen by ACWR and spend weeks developing new work inspired by the environment and experience of their paired workplace. The Creatives at Work Artist Residency Program aims to explore the potential for collaboration between local artists and the business community by embedding creative professionals in unexpected, non-traditional workspaces

This Creatives at Work Artist Residency is supported by the Arts Council Windsor & Region, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Centre, and the City Market Windsor.
